I have been using a shelter trigger for several years when photographing creatively and when working in low light on a tripod. one of the features of a remote trigger device is the ability to wirelessly trip the shutter. My favorite benefit of this tool comes into play when using shutter speeds less than 1/30th of a second because I am not touching the camera and introducing shake by pressing the actual shutter button.
